Every single day, I am growing stronger. Yes, I have days when I am more tired than others. However, those days are easier to push through than they used to be. My oncologist has started me on immuglobulin that I receive every other week. This should help with building up my immune system. I have also moved to seeing my oncologist every other week. Currently, my thyroid levels have changed, so I need a different dose. Until I get the correct dosage, I will continue to feel cold and tired. I have little appetite again and try to push myself to eat well. I know it is important to my healing. I know I need more protein. I still struggle with taking my pills. We are looking at a hypnotist, which is out there for me. However, I am willing to try anything to make this easier. My stepdad timed me once and it took me 41 minutes to get down all my pills. I cannot do that every single day for the rest of my life, especially when I go back to work.

My mom and I went to the store yesterday and got some drinks that have a lot of protein in them. I still have GVHD on my face, which causes my face to feel tight at times and itchy at other times. My mom got some Eucerin face wash, a day lotion, and a night lotion. It has helped with the itchiness so far. It will take time for the dryness to get better. I am working on a UGA wreath for a sorority sister. She’s going to give it to her daughter. After that one, I have to make a birthday one for a nurse at Emory and will be making a baby wreath for another nurse.

My son is doing well in school. He works so hard and makes great grades. I am so proud of all his hard work and perseverance. He shows me time and again what strength looks like. I am so blessed that God chose me to be his mom.

It’s about time for lunch and then pills, so I will be signing off. Until next time, I’ll be dancing with Luke!

This last week has not been what I expected. I had an appointment with my oncologist on 10/30. I was supposed to go for a biopsy afterwards, my 6-month check. I was feeling a little under the weather,

Getting Out

It’s been a busy week! My son is home on his Fall break. I needed to hardwire my laptop into the internet at a school. We ended up going to the facilitator’s office at my son’s old high school. Unfort
